I put together this collage to honor my father, my husband and my brother…all of whom passed away much too soon. They were great fathers, or at least they were the best fathers they knew how to be. So many men get the short end of the stick, when it comes to getting praise. Whenever I hear people talk about deadbeat dads, or men that have not been a good partner or friend, I am keenly aware that this has never been my reality. I have been blessed with wonderful men in my life. But even if you have had an unpleasant experience with a man, it’s not fair to lump them all into one bucket. There are plenty of wonderful men out there that don’t get the credit they deserve because the men that are doggin’ folk are hoggin’ the spotlight. And why is this? Because law of attraction doesn’t discriminate. If you are giving your attention to something you don’t want, you will only get more of what you don’t want. So, stop giving energy to men that don’t deserve your attention. And for those men that are doing an awesome job as a Father…show them how much you love and appreciate them.
This Fathers Day, if you know of a young father, or an old one for that matter, that should be recognized, or just may need some love…call them and celebrate them. Tell them how much you love them.
Happy Father’s Day!
